Frequently Asked Questions

Are Nano Hair Extensions damaging?

When fitted by a trained professional, nano ring extensions are not damaging to the natural hair.  They do not require heat or glue to secure them. The beads are very small and carry no weight. the nano link hair stands only weigh 0.8 grams a piece. As long as you take care of them properly there is virtually no damage to your natural hair.

Can I have them if my hair is thin and fragile?

Yes! Nano tips are designed for people with really thin hair.  They are lightweight and really tiny so they won't show even with thin hair

Can  I still wear my hair up?

Yes! I will install the hair with a safety margin so that you can wear your hair in a pony and it won't show

What kind of hair do you use?

I only use high quality 100% cuticle intact human hair.  It is European double drawn hair and is thick from roots to the end

How long does the hair last?

Since Nano's are reusable when taken care of properly your hair can last 6+ months

When do I need maintenance?

Maintenance is required every 6-10 weeks depending on hair type and hair growth pattern.  It is very important to come back for routine maintenance to ensure no damage happens.

How do I wash my hair with Nanos in?

Keep your head upright and gently massage starting at the scalp between the bonds.  do not twist or rub.  Do not use conditioner at the bonds.  Use sulphate and paraben-free shampoo and conditioner.  Never put oils on the bonds.  Blow-dry after and avoid using heat on the bonds.  I recommend using a clarifying shampoo once a week on the scalp to help reduce build-up and an itchy scalp.

How do I brush my extensions?

I always recommend using a wet brush or loop brush with nano extensions.  Always start from the bottom and work your way up to the roots while holding the hair.

How do I sleep with them in?

Never sleep with wet hair.  Brush before bed and tie in a low ponytail or braid before bed.

Will it be uncomfortable?

Everyone reacts differently.  Some people will find it mildly uncomfortable for the first 2 weeks, then they say they cant feel them anymore and just feels like part of their hair.
